Do you hold my passport as a deposit?

No. We never hold your passport — that's our policy on every rental. A quick ID check at handover is all we need.

Do I need a license to rent a motorbike in Da Nang?

Up to 50cc (or electric up to 4kW): no license, no IDP — a moped under Vietnamese law, riders 16+ (Luật 36/2024, effective 1 January 2025). Over 50cc: a valid Vietnamese license or a 1968 Vienna-format IDP (Thông tư 35/2024/TT-BGTVT, Article 45).

Is my international driving permit (IDP) valid in Vietnam?

For 125cc+ scooters you need a valid IDP or a Vietnamese license. The 1968 Vienna-format IDP works if your country is a member (Russia is — Russian IDPs are valid). South Korea is not a Vienna member (signed but never ratified), but a separate bilateral agreement effective 23 July 2023 (baochinhphu.vn, Decision 163/QĐ-TTg) makes Korean IDPs valid in Vietnam too — bring your Korean national driver's license together with the IDP, valid up to one year from entry, non-commercial driving only. No IDP? Ride a 50cc moped (no license needed).

Is insurance included?

Basic insurance comes with every rental. It does not cover fines, or damage caused while riding without a valid license where one is required — so sort your license situation before you ride.

What happens if the police stop me?

Stay calm, be polite, show your passport and license/IDP if asked. Riding 125cc+ without a license is a fine of 2,000,000–4,000,000 VND (up to 125cc) or 6,000,000–8,000,000 VND (over 125cc) under Decree 168/2024/NĐ-CP, Article 18 (thuvienphapluat.vn).

Can I ride to Hoi An or Hue?

Yes to both. Hoi An is about 30–40 minutes down the Vo Nguyen Giap coastal road — fine on a 50cc. Hue is a 3–4 hour ride over Hai Van Pass — take a 125cc+ scooter; a 50cc tops out around 50 km/h and is not recommended for the pass.

How does the fuel policy work?

Fuel is not included (standard for all Da Nang rentals). Return the bike with the same fuel level you received it with, or pay for what you used. Petrol stations are everywhere in the city.

Do you deliver the bike to my hotel or the airport?

Yes — free delivery to your hotel, hostel or Da Nang airport within 2 km of the city center, between 08:00 and 20:00 daily.

What if the bike breaks down?

Call us — we have 24/7 support. If the bike can't be fixed on the spot, we bring you a replacement. Mechanical problems are our problem, not yours.

Are helmets included?

Yes — two helmets and a phone holder come with every rental, no extra charge. Vietnamese law requires helmets on all riders.

What's the minimum age to rent?

16+ for a 50cc moped — the legal minimum under Luật 36/2024. For 125cc+ scooters we require riders to be 18 or older with a valid license.

Do I need a visa for Vietnam?

Citizens of 12 countries — including Russia and South Korea — get a 45-day visa exemption, in effect 15 March 2025 to 14 March 2028 (Resolution 44/NQ-CP of 7 March 2025 — vanban.chinhphu.vn). Check your own situation before booking flights.
